Newest Delivery

The department took delivery on our newest apparatus, Engine 32, on July 8, 1998. Here are some photos and details. Engine 32 was built by KME and sold by Slagles Fire Equipment in Cayce, South Carolina. From order to delivery only took about 60 days. Resolution on the photos has been reduced so that it doesn't take forever to download the page.

Engine 32

Engine 32 is built on a 1998 Navistar commercial chassis. The extended front bumper carries a 150 foot preconnect in a covered, recessed box. A foam system is prepiped into this line. Bumper lights are oscillators, with strobes all around.

Engine 32The cab is extended to provide an extra 10" of interior space. It carries three personnel across the rear of the cab in SCBA seats. Engine 32 has a 1250 GPM pump and a 1000 gallon booster tank.

Engine 37 The lower rear compartment carries a positive pressure ventilation fan. High side compartments contain nozzles, hand lights, hose appliances, and the like. A 10" reflective stripe surrounds the apparatus for visibility.

Truck 3 A 5kw generator is tray-mounted inside the lower rear compartment. The generator is prewired to the floodlights mounted on the pump panel.

Truck 36

Engine 32 will eventually carry 5" hose and a 2.5" preconnect . Rear compartment is transverse. The amber arrow stick lights can be used as a warning device or to direct traffic.

This site is optimized for Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher. It will also work well with Netscape Navigator, but you may miss the sounds and a few other features.  If you are using another browser, it will say the same thing but may look a little strange!

The resolution on some of our graphics is higher than usual on the net, so we recommend using 16 bit color.
